Airport Transfer

We will be happy to provide transport for you to or from the airports in Malaga (AGP) or Gibraltar (GIB). Please contact us in order to submit your reservation and / or to get a quote.

Car

Many property owners prefer to use their own car during their visit to the Costa del Sol.

However, owning a car in a foreign country but making very limited use of it could be the cause of headaches. On your return the battery may be flat, the tires too soft, the ITV check may be due, and the car needs to be serviced or even repaired.

At Vilicus Services (España) S.L. we can keep your car in top condition and carry out all necessary work during your absence. Our service includes:
•    Locating the right car for you to buy, whether it is a new car or a pre-owned one.
•    Properly insuring your car.
•    Driving your car to and from the garage if it needs to be serviced.

If you require a rental car during your stay on the Costa del Sol we at Vilicus Services (España) S.L. can make the reservation for you. We accompany you to the rental agent when picking up the car and when returning it.

Cleaning for property owners

Water Temperature The temperature of the water in your pool might feel rather cold during the winter months. That could be the reason why you are not using your pool during that period.

If you want to optimise the use of your swimming pool we can recommend a water-heating system that heats the water in your pool by using solar energy. This system requires low maintenance and doesn’t influence your electricity bill.

Property Check

For property owners we have introduced our Property Check service.

During your absence we will visit your property frequently so you do not need to worry when you are away. We will check the property, the house and its surroundings frequently and will report any problem when it occurs without any delay.

Rental Service

If you own a property on the Costa del Sol and you would like to rent it out for short term (holidays) or long term (periods of maximum 11 months) we will be happy to take care of the whole process. We will:

•    Take photographs and describe your property.
•    Add your property to our website, section “for rent”.
•    Prepare a rental contract.
•    Check your property weekly during the period that the property is vacant:
o    Cleaning.
o    Ventilating.
o    Maintenance of drains.
•    Carry out an inspection and report just before a tenant checks in to your property.
•    Carry out an inspection and report just before a tenant vacates your property.
•    Clean your property after a tenant has left.
•    Promote and arrange viewings of your property.
•    Hold the key.
•    Collect the rent.
•    Send you a monthly report concerning your property.
•    Provide our emergency service.

All our Vilicus Services Contract members will receive a monthly report stating all the services that we have carried out for them during the corresponding month.

Residence Card

Property owners or business people that employ local staff might be eligible to obtain a Spanish residence card.

This desirable document will simplify travelling to, within and from all 27 member states of the European Community. A visa is not required anymore.

We will be glad to assist you during the process of obtaining the Spanish residence card for you and your family.

School

Utilities (electricity and water)

Electricity and water need to be paid frequently in order to avoid disconnection.

The electricity and water meters also need to be read frequently in order to know how much you have consumed.

•    The payment of the water bills.
•    The reading of the electricity meter.
•    The reading of the water meter.

Water

It is not recommended to drink the water from your tap. Some people even have fallen ill after drinking tap water.
